The tragedy that he escaped from is what brings him and Penny together. And that’s how she ends up in Azure Springs. Penny’s life situation isn’t the happiest and she decides to head to find Thomas. I loved the way there was something in his letters that spoke to her enough that she wanted to actually meet him. And that’s how she first is “introduced” to Thomas. She reads people’s letters to try to figure out where the letters should be sent.

And I can’t wait to read more books by this author! I was glad to get to read this one for a book club that I’m part of. I’ve wanted to read Rachel Fordham’s books for awhile now. My only regret is that Rachel only has 2 books out so far, so I hope she keeps going and going so I will have a full library of them. Yet, it's not given away too early in the book, which makes the reader want to continue reading to see what happens next. I loved Penny and Thomas' story and how that story ended. This book was peppered all throughout with Christian principles like love and repentance and forgiveness. That's important to me, as I don't want to spend 10 minutes forcing myself to read something I am not really enjoying anyway, or to get to the point. Rachel's two books grab you right from the first words. I finished it in about two days, totally unable to leave it unti it was done. I was notified of Thomas' arrival, and I could hardly wait to get started. I can nurse a pleasure book for several months before completion. I am not what one would consider an avid reader. I pre ordered Yours Truly Thomas because I knew I wanted to read it after The Hope Of Azure Springs.
